To avoid any future complications, topical antibiotic ointment should be used for a few days following your procedure. You will also be asked to refrain from applying makeup, avoid direct sunlight and avoid wearing contact lenses for a few days. You may experience a slight swelling in the area, but this will subside with the use of a cool compress.
