Sculptra Aesthetic is a facial injectable one-time treatment that corrects shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles in which deep dermal grid pattern (cross-hatch) injection technique is appropriate.
Sculptra Aesthetic works gradually to replace collagen that is lost during the aging process. The collagen beneath the skin is a key element that provides volume and gives shape to your face. At about age 30, collagen begins to break down. As a result, wrinkles, lines, and folds gradually appear and worsen with time.
Most injectables can fill these wrinkles, lines, and folds. SculptraAesthetic works differently. It gradually replaces lost collagen and provides structure that lets your new look emerge more discreetly.
Sculptra Aesthetic contains poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, the main component of SculptraAesthetic that works within the deep dermis to replace lost of collagen, providing a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness by correcting the shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds. It is biocompatible, which means it will not harm your body. Is a treatment regimen of up to 4 injection session that is scheduled about 3 weeks apart for correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles in which deep dermal grid pattern (cross-hatch) injection technique is appropriate.
Treatment Considerations for SculptraAesthetic:
-SculptraAesthetic is not for use in the lips.
-Is not recommended for use around the eyes.
-Safety and effectiveness of SculptraAesthetic has not been evaluated in areas other than nasolabial wrinkles (smile lines) and folds in clinical trials.
